Forged ASME B16.11 Fittings & A420 WPL6 Swage Shipped to UAE Client

Haihao Group has dispatched a mixed order of forged pipe fittings to a customer in the United Arab Emirates. The shipment includes a concentric swage nipple in ASTM A420 WPL6, Class 6000 socket weld fittings in ASTM A105N, and 3000# socket weld reducing couplings in ASTM A350 LF2. The items were supplied under ASME B16.9 and ASME B16.11, depending on product type.

The concentric swage nipple was supplied with a beveled large end and plain small end, written as BLE-PSE. This configuration allows the larger end to be butt-welded to the main line while the plain small end can be further prepared or connected according to the piping design. The SCH40 × SCH80 wall combination is often selected when the two connected pipes have different schedules.

Carbon steel and low-temperature materials

The A420 WPL6 swage nipple is typically used in low-temperature carbon steel piping systems. WPL6 is commonly specified where impact resistance at lower service temperatures is required, making it a practical choice for many process and industrial applications.

The A105N items in this order include a 2″ × 1″ reducing socket weld tee and a 1″ socket weld cap, both in Class 6000. Class 6000 socket weld fittings are frequently used in high-pressure instrument lines, sampling lines and compact piping arrangements where threaded connections are not preferred. An A105N tee in this rating is often selected for its strength, availability and compatibility with carbon steel piping systems.

The A350 LF2 reducing couplings were supplied in 3000# socket weld design. LF2 is another low-temperature carbon steel grade, and it is often specified when the piping system must maintain toughness under colder operating conditions. The 2″ × 3/4″ and 2″ × 1/2″ sizes show how forged reducing couplings can be used to connect smaller branches or instruments to a larger socket weld line without additional adapters.

Why specification accuracy matters

Forged fittings look similar at first glance, but material grade, pressure class, end type and manufacturing standard must all match the piping specification. A Class 6000 socket weld tee cannot be treated as interchangeable with a 3000# item, just as A420 WPL6 and A105N serve different design intentions even though both are carbon steel grades.

For this UAE order, Haihao Group confirmed each line item against the customer’s description before production and packing. The goal was to ensure that the ASME B16.9 swage nipple and the ASME B16.11 socket weld fittings were clearly identified, correctly marked and ready for export.

Supply capability

Haihao Group supplies forged pipe fittings including socket weld tees, caps, couplings, elbows, bosses and swaged nipples across multiple materials and pressure classes. If you need an A105N tee, a Class 6000 socket weld cap, an A420 WPL6 swage nipple, or A350 LF2 3000# reducing couplings, send your size, rating, material and standard for quotation and technical confirmation.
