Forging is a workpiece or blank obtained by forging and deforming a metal blank. The mechanical properties of metal billet can be changed by applying pressure to make it produce plastic deformation. The looseness of metal can be eliminated by forging. Hole, so that the mechanical properties of the forgings can be improved.

According to the temperature of the blank during processing, the forging can be divided into cold forging and hot forging. Cold forging is generally performed at room temperature, while hot forging is performed at a recrystallization temperature higher than that of the metal billet.
