ASTM A53 Gr.B electric resistance welded steel pipes(ERW steel pipes)
ASTM A53 Gr.B electric resistance welded(ERW) steel pipes are manufactured as per ASTM A53 specification,they are welded steel pipes made by electric resistance welding method.ASTM A53 specification covers seamless and welded black and hot-dipped galvanized steel pipe in NPS 1⁄8 to NPS 26(DN6 to DN 650).It is acceptable for welding,flanging,and bending.
API 5L ASTM A53 Grade B ERW Steel Pipes
There are three types of steel pipes in ASTM A53 standard,and the grades are as follows:
- Type F-Furnace butt welded,continuous welded,Grade A,
- Type E-Electric resistance welded(ERW),Grades A and B,
- Type S-Seamless,Grades A and B.

ASTM A53 Gr.B electric resistance welded steel pipes are usually used for mechanical and pressure applications and is also acceptable for ordinary uses in steam,water,gas,and air lines.
